The Council on Foundations is a nonprofit leadership association of grantmaking foundations and corporations. Their mission is to provide the opportunity, leadership, and tools needed by philanthropic organizations to expand, enhance and sustain their ability to advance the common good.

Foundation Center
The Foundation Center’s mission is to support and improve institutional philanthropy by promoting public understanding of the field and helping grantseekers succeed. They maintain profiles of foundation giving on each state, including Idaho.

Guidestar
Guidestar is the national database and leading source of information on nonprofit organizations. The site contains programmatic and financial information for American charitable nonprofit organizations.

Independent Sector
Independent Sector is a coalition of leading nonprofits, foundations and corporations strengthening not-for-profit initiatives, philanthropy and citizen action. They create profiles of the charitable sector in each state, including Idaho.

Philanthropy Northwest
Philanthropy Northwest is the network for philanthropists of all types who are committed to Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington and Wyoming. Their mission is to promote, facilitate and drive collaborative action by community investors to build resilient, equitable and inclusive communities. Philanthropy Northwest publishes a periodic Trends in Northwest Giving report.

Urban Institute Center on Nonprofits and Philanthropy
The Center on Nonprofits and Philanthropy works across all sectors to increase the impact of actors on the front lines of social change. By partnering with changemakers, sharing knowledge, and analyzing results, CNP is amplifying these efforts to improve practice, inform policy and advance public understanding. Community Action Partnership Association of Idaho
There are eight Community Action Partnership organizations dedicated to ending poverty in Idaho. Each maintains data on the conditions of residents in its own service area and provides services to those in need.

Idaho Rural Partnership Community Assessments
The Idaho Rural Partnership joins diverse public and private resources in innovative collaborations to strengthen communities and improve life in rural Idaho. They are best known for their community review program that helps rural leaders and residents establish priorities, access grant funding and achieve economic development goals.

Public Health District Community Health Assessments
Idaho has seven Public Health Districts created to insure essential public health services are made available to protect the health of all citizens of the State—no matter how large their county population. Many of the districts publish periodic Community Health Assessments.

United Way Idaho ALICE Data
The United Way ALICE Project is a collaboration of United Ways across the country to focus on a subset of the population of every state – individuals who are Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed. In other words, hardworking members of the community who earn above federal poverty level income but still do not earn enough to afford the basic necessities of life. Idaho is a participating member of this project and maintains data on these individuals in our state.

Idaho Nonprofit Center
The Idaho Nonprofit Center represents the interests of Idaho’s 6,000+ registered charitable nonprofit organizations. Their mission is to educate, advocate, and collaborate in support of stronger nonprofits. 

Serve Idaho
The Governor’s Commission on Service and Volunteerism, known as Serve Idaho, is a division of the Idaho Department of Labor and encourages voluntary public service and volunteerism throughout the state.
