America250 Idaho Fund
A Community Effort to Celebrate What Makes Idaho Special
As Idaho prepares to mark America’s 250th anniversary this weekend, a unique effort is bringing citizens together to celebrate in meaningful, lasting ways. The America250 in Idaho Commemoration Fund - established in collaboration with Idaho State Treasurer Julie Ellsworth - is helping turn local ideas into reality.
Designed to support projects and celebrations that may not typically receive government funding, the fund reflects a shared commitment to honoring Idaho’s history, creativity, and community spirit. From landmark projects to hometown events, it creates space for communities to shape how this historic milestone is recognized.
America250 Idaho committee of volunteers has raised more than $37,000
What makes the fund truly special is how it was built: through partnership, collaboration, and a collective belief in what’s possible when people come together. To date, the America250 Idaho committee of volunteers has raised more than $37,000 with additional support pledged - demonstrating the generosity and “can-do” spirit Idaho is known for.
The America250 in Idaho Commemoration Fund is more than a funding source, it’s an invitation to celebrate, to participate, and to invest in the stories that define Idaho.
