Lemhi Valley Community Foundation

About LVCF

The Lemhi Valley Community Foundation was established in 2012 with a focus on ensuring that Lemhi County is a vibrant, thriving, self-sufficient place forever. It is an affiliate of the Idaho Community Foundation

LVCF follows ICF’s Forever Idaho model of trust-based philanthropy by providing unrestricted funding to nonprofits, schools and community organizations, which allows recipients to spend the grant on their greatest needs.

Most grants are $1,000. LVCF invites applications from nonprofits including, but not limited to:

  • Government entities, including subsidiaries and public educational institutions.
  • Entities with current 501(c)(3) (or other code section) not-for-profit status under IRS Code.
  • Clubs and Associations with a nonprofit core mission that is similar to those required by a 501(c)(3). If not a 501(c) (3) organization, the organization must find a fiscal sponsor that is a 501 (c)(3) or a government entity.
  • Eligible organizations must reside in Lemhi County, or their primary purpose must be to benefits residents of Lemhi County.
