Scholarships

ICF manages over 70 different scholarship funds – each customized according to the desires of the fund creator. Each has its own eligibility criteria, application requirements, and review process. 

You are eligible to apply for scholarships in the region where your permanent address is. Statewide scholarships are open to applicants from throughout Idaho.

East

Diamond W Scholarship Fund
Graduating senior from Snake River High School planning to attend any accredited 2 or 4 year college/university. Preference will be given to given to students attending college/university located in Idaho. Deadline May 1, click here to apply.

J. Carl Mattson Scholarship Fund
For seniors at Mackay High School who have completed six trimesters (or the equivalent) of Vocational Agriculture, and have been active in the Future Farmers of America and Vo-Ag activities.  Need not be pursuing a degree in agriculture.  Deadline is March 15.  Click here to apply.

W.L. Shattuck Scholarship
For graduates of Idaho Falls School District 91 or 93, who are 16 to 26 years of age, and who can demonstrate financial need.  Undergraduate students only.  Deadline is March 15.  Click here to apply.

North

Alvie C. Jeffres Memorial Scholarship Fund
For residents of Bonner County who demonstrate financial need and a high resolve to advance their education and attend college.  Contact your high school counselor’s office for deadline and application. Click here to apply.

D & D Rhoades Scholarship Fund
This fund is for students studying or planning to study agriculture who have graduated from the following North Idaho high schools: Kamiah High School, Clearwater Valley High School, Grangeville High School, Prairie High School, Highland High School, or Nezperce High School. Click here to apply.

Dorothy B. Adler Scholarship Fund
For students graduating from Lake Pend Oreille Alternative High School who qualify for the free or reduced lunch program and have a minimum Lake Pend Oreille Alternative High School GPA of 2.0. Please contact the Lake Pend Oreille Alternative High School counselor's office for an application.

Irene Gustafson Scholarship Fund
For seniors at Moscow High School who possess ability in both written and oral English, creative writing ability, and are involved in at least one charitable activity.  Deadline is March 15.  Click here to apply.

Lucille F. Zanetti Scholarship Fund
For graduates of Wallace, Kellogg, or Mullan high schools with a minimum 2.0 GPA, who are active in school and the community, and demonstrate some financial need.  Deadline is March 15.  Click here to apply.

Manuel and Gladys Schneidmiller Scholarship Fund
Graduates from Post Falls High School attending a public university in Idaho or Washington State University or Eastern Washington University. Student must demonstrate financial need.  Deadline is March 15.  Click here to apply.

Theodore H. Correll Memorial Scholarship Fund
For graduating seniors from Moscow High School with a GPA of 3.0 or higher and demonstrated financial need. Not accepting applications until 2023.

Southwest

Barbara L. Carnefix Memorial Scholarship Fund
For graduates of Fruitland High School enrolled full-time to study Business.  Deadline is March 15.  Click here to apply.

Boo Bushell Youth in the Performing Arts Scholarship Fund Higher Education Scholarship
For seniors at a Blaine County high school intending to study theater arts at any post-secondary institution, with preference being given to students attending the University of Idaho.  Contact ICF for deadline and application.

Caldwell Memorial Hospital Employees and Friends Health Services Scholarship Fund
Established by the employees and friends of Caldwell Memorial Hospital, this scholarship provides financial assistance to students, primarily in the original hospital’s service area, who are interested in pursuing a degree or certificate in a health care field.  Deadline is March 15.  Click here to apply.

Colton Mackey Memorial Scholarship Fund
For current or former graduates of Middleton High School. Preference given to students active “on the field” in football and/or baseball athletics (advanced preference given to students active in both) and “off the field” in outdoor activities such as hunting, hiking, fishing and/or camping. Dean and Gay Welch Scholarship Fund
For seniors at Emmett High School or Black Canyon High School in Emmett, Idaho, or previously graduated students attending post-secondary education for their second, third or fourth year. Students must be attending or planning to attend an accredited program at any 2- or 4-year public or private junior college, college, university, vocational or technical school in the state of Idaho. Eric Marshall Sullins Scholarship
For students who are graduating or have previously graduated from Fruitland High School. Some scholarships will be based on financial need, while others will be based both on need and academic achievement. Deadline March 15. Click here to apply.

Erle and Cynthia Byram Scholarship
For students graduating from any high school in southern Idaho (south of the Salmon River) with first preference given to any student who has resided in Gooding or Camas counties for at least one year prior to application. Some scholarships will be based on financial need, while others will be based both on need and academic achievement. Deadline March 15. Click here to apply.

Evea Harrington Powers Memorial Scholarship Fund
For graduates of Council High School entering their first or second year of undergraduate study. Academic achievement will be considered.  Deadline is March 15.  Click here to apply.

George and Jean Cruickshank and Aunt Adis Little Scholarship Fund
For students of Emmett High School or Black Canyon High School who can demonstrate financial need and a sincere commitment to further education or training.  Contact your high school counselor’s office for deadline and application.

Gooding High School Class of 1956 Scholarship Fund
For seniors at Gooding High School who can demonstrate financial need.  Deadline is March 15.  Click here to apply.

Jayo Family Scholarship Fund
For seniors at Emmett High School and Black Canyon School able to demonstrate financial need.  One scholarship awarded to a student graduating with honors.  One scholarship awarded to a student planning to attend a vocational or technical school or program.  Contact Emmett High School counselor’s office for deadline and application.

James and Rose Helebrant Education Scholarship Fund
For seniors at Buhl High School who can demonstrate financial need and good moral character.  Deadline is March 15.  Click here to apply.

James E. Hawkins Memorial Scholarship Fund
For seniors at and graduates of Salmon River High School in Riggins with a minimum 3.0 GPA and planning to attend a higher education institution as a fulltime undergraduate student. Preference may be given to applicants seeking a degree in Business Marketing or a degree related to Forest Products and Wildlife Resources.  Deadline is March 15.  Click here to apply.

Jean Adams Scholarship Fund
For seniors at Mountain Home High School enrolling full-time at any post-secondary institution in Idaho.  Contact Mountain Home High School Registrar for deadline and application.

Jim Poore Memorial Scholarship Fund
For seniors in Ada, Adams, Boise, Canyon, Elmore, Gem, Payette, Valley or Washington counties, or seniors in Marsing, Homedale, Bruneau or Riggins, or first- or second-year students attending the University of Idaho or Boise State University. Deadline is March 15.  Click here to apply.

Kuna High School Scholarship Fund
For seniors at Kuna High School who demonstrate financial need and sincere desire for further education or training.  Deadline is March 15.  Click here to apply.

Merritt Brook Scholarship
For students graduating or have previously graduated from an accredited high school in Blaine, Camas, Cassia, Gooding, Jerome, Lincoln, Minidoka and Twin Falls counties with a minimum 2.5 GPA.  For more information and to apply, Click Here.

Mountain Home High School Class of 1960 Trust Fund
For students at Mountain Home High School planning to obtain undergraduate education or other training. Contact Mountain Home High School Registrar for deadline and application.

Paul and Jo Easterbrook Scholarship Fund
For seniors at Emmett High School intending to pursue a bachelor degree at any Idaho public institution of higher learning, who can demonstrate financial need. Contact Emmett High School counselor’s office for deadline and application.

Paul C. Rebholtz Memorial Scholarship Fund
For seniors at Boise High School.  Scholarships awarded to students who demonstrate improved academic performance during high school, and who want to better themselves through education and training.  Deadline in 2020 is March 1. Click Here to apply. 

Perc H. Shelton and Gladys A. Pospisil Shelton Foundation Scholarship Fund

Raymond and Bonnie Turner Scholarship Fund

Richfield High School Scholarship Fund
For seniors at Richfield High School intending to enroll full-time in any post-secondary institution.  Deadline is March 15.  Click here to apply.

Robert C. Weaver Memorial Scholarship Fund
For part-time or full-time traditional or non-traditional students pursuing post high school vocational or academic training.  Preference given to residents of Buhl, graduates of Buhl High School, or former residents of Buhl. Deadline is March 15. Click here to apply.

Ronald P. and Ethel R. Rawlinson Memorial Scholarship Fund
For former graduates or graduating seniors of an Emmett high school planning to enroll full- or part-time in graduate or undergraduate study in a medical or paramedical field at a school of their choice. Deadline is March 15. Click here to apply.

Sonja Tarnay Educational Fund
For seniors at any accredited high school in the Wood River Valley who are pursuing a career in the visual and/or performing arts.  Contact your high school counselor’s office for deadline and application.

Ted Ellis Scholarship Fund for the Boys and Girls Club of Ada County
For seniors graduating from any high school in the area served by the Boys and Girls Club of Ada County, who have demonstrated continued involvement in the activities of the Boys and Girls Club.  Deadline is March 15.  Click here to apply.

Treasure Valley Family YMCA Scholarship for Civic Engagement Fund
For seniors at any high school in the area served by the Treasure Valley Family YMCA (Ada and Canyon counties) who have made significant contributions to their community through community service. Must demonstrate a passion for working collaboratively to find solutions for civic issues (whether homelessness, healthcare, education, environment, etc.) and have an interest in pursuing civic work (whether career or volunteer) that will strengthen and improve our communities.  Deadline is March 15.  Click here to apply.

Turn Around Scholarship Fund
The Turn Around Scholarship Fund was created by a Treasure Valley high school counselor to provide scholarships to deserving high school seniors who have been able to turn their lives around despite difficult home situations. Open to high school seniors graduating from a public high school in the West Ada School District, or the Boise Independent School District.

**Note: Any student wishing to apply for this scholarship must be nominated by his or her high school counselor or principal.  All materials must be received by March 15. Click here to apply.

Wendell P.  Carnefix Memorial Scholarship Fund
For graduates of Fruitland High School enrolled full-time to study the areas of Agriculture, Horticulture, plant sciences, agronomy, animal and dairy sciences, or landscape architecture. Deadline is March 15. Click here to apply.

Wood River Odd Fellows & Rebekahs Scholarship Fund
For students at any Wood River Valley public school, who can demonstrate financial need and whose potential for achievement was not necessarily reflected in his/her overall high school academic performance.  Contact Silver Creek High School or Wood River High School counselor’s office for deadline and application.

Statewide

AAUW Boise Area Inez Robb Scholarship Fund
For female bachelor’s degree-seeking juniors and seniors at Boise State University, graduating within two years of receiving scholarship award.  Deadline is March 15.  Click here to apply.

Alois and Marie Goldmann Memorial Scholarship Fund
Created by the George and Mary Freund family of Idaho Falls to memorialize his maternal grandparents who were murdered during World War II at Auschwitz. Open to graduating students statewide who are attending an Idaho college or university. Deadline is March 1.  Click here to apply.

Anne Veseth Memorial Scholarship Fund
For graduating high school seniors or current undergraduate college students attending or planning to attend a public or private, two- or four-year college or university in the state of Idaho and majoring or planning to major in Fire Ecology or Auto Mechanics. Or for any student who is also a current Wildland Firefighter majoring in any subject. Deadline is March 15. Click here to apply.

For students in grades 1-12 who wish to attend “Camp Little Laugh” or a similar program. Contact ICF for deadline and application.

Idaho Power Company Memorial Scholarship Fund
Created to memorialize the lives of former Idaho Power employees Douglas E. Sprenger, Kevin M. Whittier and Larry R. Wimer, this scholarship is open to 1) graduating high school seniors planning to enroll in an engineering program at an accredited Idaho college; OR 2) college students of any level enrolling in a natural resources program at an accredited Idaho college.  Deadline is March 15. The application form is being revised and will be available in early January 2021.

Idaho Press Club - Don Watkins Memorial Scholarship
For second-year college students majoring in journalism or communication, or who work for a college or professional media outlet. Contact the Idaho Press Club for deadline and application.

Idaho Press Club - Don Watkins Professional Development Scholarship
For members of the Idaho Press Club to use for training or a project that will improve the working press in Idaho.  Contact the Idaho Press Club for deadline and application.

Idaho Society of CPA’s Scholarship Fund
Created to attract the best and brightest students to the profession, scholarships benefit students pursuing an accounting degree at an Idaho school.  Open to full-time students at the junior or senior level majoring in accounting at a public or private college or university in the state of Idaho. Idaho State Council of Trout Unlimited Graduate Scholarship Fund
For members of an Idaho Chapter of Trout Unlimited enrolled at the graduate level at an Idaho university, researching native or endemic coldwater fish, or a related field.  Deadline is March 15.  Click here to apply.

For children or dependents of active, full-time Jackson Companies employees. Deadline April 1st. Click here to apply.
